THE LONGEST SERVING PUNK BAND WITH THE ORIGINAL LINE UP

THE ADICTS are an English punk rock band from Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Popular in the 1980s, they were often in the indie charts at that time. Their song "Viva La Revolution" was featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Underground. It was also featured in a commercial for the E! channel advertising their reality television show Pop Fiction. THE ADICTS originated as Afterbirth & The Pinz in late 1975. They soon changed their name to THE ADICTS and became known for their distinctive Clockwork Orange droog image, which, along with their urgent, uptempo music and light-hearted lyrics, helped set them apart from other punk bands.

In the 1980`s THE ADICTS went through some tough times, having to change their name for Television as the BBC found it Offensive, The band then had a short spell under the name ADX just so they could get music played on the Radio. But the band have never stopped touring.

The band still has all its original members. The music has developed Into they’re own style using many different instruments and colours alike and have stayed true to themselves and their beliefs. Keeping THE ADICTS Party Rolling on.

After 31 years together the band still dress in all white while Monkey, the singer is the Clown Prince of Performers with his daring and dashing outfits which illuminate the stage, Truelly the clown Prince of Punk Rock, Along with the look come stage shows involving items such as streamers, confetti, playing cards, joker hats, toy instruments or glitter. One big celebration and One hell of a good time.

The ADICTS au BLACKPOOL REBELLION festival cet été

Les ADICTS sont annoncés au mois d'Aout au Blackpool Rebellion festival au Royaume Uni.
L'occasion pour eux de refaire quelques dates en Europe et saluer leur public.
